Clariant will take its a series of technologies to Chinaplas, dedicated to aiding the electrical and electronics, agriculture, consumer goods and automotive industries achieve improved sustainability through new colours and capabilities.
The Swiss chemical specialist is hoping to add to supplies of quality, more environmentally more sustainable agricultural products, with a stronger focus on achieving top quality consumer goods to strengthen domestic demand in China.

Under a shift towards a greener economy in China, more Chinese businesses are looking to enhance the sustainability of their products. Clariant has made sustainability a key element of its business approach, and at Chinaplas 2017, Clariant will showcase how its speciality chemical products provide functionality, as well as product safety and environmental compatibility for customers in the Chinese electronics, agriculture, consumer goods, and automotive industries.
Its products on display in the Electrical and Electronics sector include: The Exolit OP 1400 non-halogenated flame retardant, offering enhanced thermal stability for polyamides, suitable for hot and humid environments; Licomont NaV 101 and Licomont CaV 102, processing aids for polyester and polyamide compounds, which provide excellent mould release and ensuring products’ smooth surfaces, and three structurally halogen-free new dyes - Solvaperm Yellow 6G, Solvaperm Orange R and Solvaperm Blue GN, added to its pigment portfolio for engineering plastics colouration.
Its Chinaplas agriculture portfolio includes Clariant’s AddWorks AGC 182, specially developed for greenhouse film producers and based on Hostavin NOW technology, increasing service lifetime of films by offering superior chemical resistance against halogenated agrochemicals.
