After setting up shop in Salalah, Oman, in 2006, has grown to a four-plant operation in Oman, Saudi Arabia and the US with the capability to product a million tonnes of PET per annum.

The leading rigid packaging material supplier now employs a workforce of more than 600 people and has become one of the region's most high-quality and environmentally-friendly producers of packaging materials.
Marking its 10-year anniversary, Octal CEO Nicholas Barakat said the landmark birthday marks a journey "of bringing innovation, environmental sustainability and cutting-edge packaging solutions from Oman to the world".
"Our knowledge-based approach has enabled us to become the unanimous choice for reliable, clear rigid packaging with a wide range of applications for foods, liquids, consumer and industrial products," he stated.
Octal's customers include global brands such as P&G, Coca-Cola, Nestlé and Lulu and is one of the sultanate's key non-oil exporters.
"What we have achieved so far is only the beginning of our legacy, as there are vast opportunities and tremendous potential that can be harnessed from PET," said Barakat.
