Nigeria has been named the "most dynamic" flexible packaging market in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region.
reports that PCI Films Consulting identified that the growth of the flexible packaging market in this part of the world now totals $4 billion (€3 billion, £2.3 billion), with demand in Nigeria blossoming by 12 per cent per year since 2009.
Stakeholders across the MEA region enjoyed a prosperous 2013 and are set to gather in Lagos, Nigeria, again for the upcoming second edition of Propak West Africa, which runs from September 2nd-4th and will welcome the country's largest packaging, food processing, plastics, labelling and printing companies.
Hosted by Montgomery West, Propak West Africa 2014 is supported by the Institute of Packaging Nigeria (IOPN), World Packaging Organisation (WPO), Nigeria Export Promotion Council (NEPC), Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), Chartered Institute of Professional Printers of Nigeria (CIPPON) and The National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control(NAFDAC) and will feature international and local product leaders and international innovators that are helping to shape the MEA's flexible packaging market.
Marketing Manager Olivia Modisakeng Mtshali was quoted by the news outlet as saying: "The Propak West Africa trade show ... is a must attend event, poised to change the face of West Africa's packaging, print, plastics and labelling industries.
“In addition to the definitive trade show the event also will feature five seminars stream over the three days namely Pro-Plas West Africa, Print Expo West Africa, FoodPro West Africa, Pro-Label West Africa and launching Digital Print Expo West Africa."
