Hosted by Tüyap Fairs and Exhibitions Organization Inc. and co-organised by PAGEV (the Turkish Plastics Industry Foundation) from December 3rd-6th at the Tüyap Fair Convention and Congress Center, Plast Eurasia broke records.
Not only did the show smash its past records for visitor numbers, but its exhibitor list also grew beyond that of previous outings. A total of 1,134 international companies from 53 countries exhibited across the 100,000 m sq floor space, while the official roster of visitors was over 55,500, with 8,269 overseas and 47,306 local delegates.
Plast Eurasia İstanbul hosted procurement committees from 26 countries including Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Egypt, Georgia, Greece, India, Iran, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova, Pakistan, Palestine, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Sudan, Syria, the UK, Ukraine and Uzbekistan, in addition to hosting national pavilions for China, Iran, Korea, Taiwan and the UK.
Thank you plaques were presented to three exhibitors who exhibited for 25 years at the fair, while PAGEV brought together its members and the members of Plastics Europe İstanbul Plastics Summit Conference, there PAGEV made the statement that "the Turkish plastics industry isn’t just a production station, also a decision centre".
Plast Eurasia's half-century journey has extended both upstream and downstream along the plastics processing supply chain and organisers believe the show is now "truly a one-stop trade platform gathering plastics machinery, chemicals and raw materials, machinery and auxiliary industry, heat and control equipment, mould, hyrdraulic and pneumatic, recycling, professional publications and other systems in 10 halls".
So, what next for this dynamic event? Organisers remark that Plast Eurasia will continue to lead the Turkish plastics industry and continue to build on its global presence in 2016.
Plast Eurasia İstanbul 2016 will be held on December 7th–10th at Tüyap Fair Convention and Congress Center, Büyükçekmece, İstanbul.
