Plast Expo Morocco
In the , the Moroccan Plastics Federation FMP, Forum 7 and their German partners fairtrade Messe, revealed that some 133 exhibitors attended from 18 countries, with the venue welcoming more than 2,300 international visitors through its doors.
Plast Expo and Plast Pack took place from June 3rd - 6th 2015 and the event was honoured by the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. The show had an auspicious opening, with the inaugural ceremony featuring representatives from the Moroccan Ministry of Industry, the Moroccan Ministry of Environment, Maroc Export and show organisers.
Director General of Maroc Export Zahra Maafiri commented: "... Plast Expo and Plast Pack 2015 ... continues to grow at the pace of the development in the plastics and packaging sector in Morocco and the interest shown by our international partners. Our ambition is to increase the visibility of our companies with their partners in sub-Saharan Africa, particularly West Africa."
There were such as Albis, Borealis, Borouge, Erema, KraussMaffei, Moretto, Netstal, Starlinger and Sumitomo Demag, while the list of top visiting companies included Dow Chemical, DuPont and ACS Composites.
Christian Deuffert of PBH France and Peter Daniel of Windmöller & Hölscher were satisfied participants and were quoted as jointly saying: "We want to strengthen the presence of the printing, extrusion and converting machines of Windmöller & Hölscher in Morocco to enable local production to be even more efficient and qualitative. We are very satisfied with our participation and especially with the fact that packaging manufacturers and end customers are visiting the show."
The visitor survey returned largely positive, but with room for improvement, with 53 per cent saying they were satisfied with the quality of business contacts made at the show, while 53 per cent said they would be investing in the coming 12 months. However, only 26 per cent of respondents said their expectations of the show were fulfilled, with 59 per cent saying they were "partially satisfied" - happily, though, only 16 per cent posted that they were unsatisfied.
