Global sensor-based waste sorting systems manufacturer TOMRA Sorting is attending ArabPlast 2017 once again.
TOMRA Sorting
Tomra
ArabPlast is the region’s foremost trade show for the plastics, petrochemical and rubber industries and TOMRA Sorting will be showcasing a range of top-selling sorting applications with a focus on upgrading plastics.
TOMRA Sorting’s featured products will be displayed in Hall 5 (Stand 5C112), where the emphasis will be on the sorting of PET fractions, LDPE film, PET flake and mixed plastics. Visitors will be able to learn about two acclaimed sorting machines from the TOMRA Sorting product family: the ultra-flexible AUTOSORT which combines colour detection with enhanced material information; and the revolutionary AUTOSORT FLAKE, the first sorter to combine detection of colour, enhanced material information and metal. Each offers a formidable array of functionality – the AUTOSORT FLAKE, for example, has a PET flake capacity of up to three tonnes per hour.
TOMRA Sorting's customers find the primary advantages of using equipment of this calibre are the standards of simplicity, reliability and accuracy which are achieved when each machine has been configured for optimal performance. Once on site, this technology can dramatically improve efficiency, thus increasing the return on investment for all plastics sorting tasks. Those operators with a commercial interest in upgrading recycled plastics – such as PET washing lines and mixed plastics reprocessing companies – have found this equipment extremely cost-effective and are now loathe to risk a return to low-grade alternatives.
ArabPlast is the largest and most prestigious plastics and recycling event within the GCC region, and as a leading company in sensor-based technologies with a commercial presence in the Gulf area, TOMRA Sorting are happy to attend this exhibition and ready to contribute towards resource productivity at a regional and international level.
"Having been a presence in the region for over 5 years now, TOMRA Sorting has a clear understanding of the status quo of plastics recycling in the local market, and thus is very conscious of the inherent business opportunities," said Tasos Bereketidis, TOMRA Sorting’s Regional Director Middle East & Africa. "Visitors can learn more about TOMRA Sorting equipment, technologies and local services, and of course, may also wish to discuss any individual projects in which they are involved."
