Gulf News reports that the latest edition of the Global Economic Conditions Survey of CFOs and finance professionals shows the Emirates outperformed their Middle Eastern peers with more job opportunities being created and consistently high public spending.
This information echoes the latest Emirates NDB Dubai Economy Tracker Index, Gulf News revealed, which showed Dubai's non-oil private sector increased at its fastest rate in March 2017 since Q1 2015.
The Global Economic Conditions Survey, which was prepared by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (Acca) and Institute of Management Accountants, stated that confidence in the UAE rebounded in the first three months of the year, with employment up on the last quarter, while government spending is "still at elevated levels".
Dubai decision-makers are expected to give infrastructure a further 27 per cent boost before the end of the year, while recovering oil prices are also giving business confidence a boost, however the price of the commodity may yet fall in 2017.
